There is also an opportunity for people to practice both meditation and yoga in the mornings and evenings. The yoga classes will be run by an experienced yoga teacher, the evening yoga will be orientated to relaxation, the morning will be Hatha Yoga.

We want to provide you with the space to enjoy this experience without worrying about too many practicalities. The Art course is there for you to use in your own way and at your own pace. It will include some optional trips to the nearby island of Aegina, (20 mins.ferry ride). The course is aimed at all levels of experience. The main theme will be one of exploring ways to record the experience in your own individual way. There will be lots of help and tuition to do this, if required.

Breakfast is between 9.00am and 10.30am. There will be an optional space before breakfast for meditation and/or yoga practice – or you may just want to have a lie-in!

The course will start at 10.30 am. We will begin each day with a short discussion on the day’s activities and a resume of the previous days experience. The primary aim being to help you interpret the landscape and images around you in your own language of art. We will break for lunch at about 2pm until 4pm, leaving plenty of time for a swim at a nearby beach, a siesta or whatever you choose. The day will finish at 4pm. Supper is any time from 7.30pm onwards. Though the bar is open before supper if you would like an aperitif.

The Tutor for the course is Sandy Adey, her particular interest is in the interpretation of the landscape and how we develop our own language of art though observation. And becoming fully involved in what interests us in an artistic sense. We will look at composition, colour mixing, mark making and the fun of working in a spontaneous way. We will also look at the different effects of various media, charcoal, pastels, and watercolour etc. with an experimental emphasis.

The Venue is a beautiful small hotel with rooms overlooking the Aegean Sea and a scenic terrace bar for breakfast and supper. We can also use the terrace as a base to work from. See the Gallery photographs for view of rooms and location.

Each Art and Yoga Holiday includes accommodation, food (except lunch) and tuition and costs £499. The accommodation is based on two sharing with single or double beds, triple rooms are also available. Single rooms have a supplement.
